EBizCharge Recap!
What I worked on…
  • Designed for 7 different products, all at once!
    • I was the lead designer for 5 integration projects: 2 eCommerce platforms (WooCommerce & Miva) and 3 ERP systems (QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Business Central, Microsoft Dynamics Nav). Additionally, I collaborated with the design team on 2 flagship products (Mobile and Desktop).
  • Delivered a new feature each quarter across all integration projects, improving the efficiency of day-to-day accounts receivable tasks.
  • Designed 2 key features for our upcoming flagship product launching in 2025. 🤫
  • Set up a componentized design system with a teammate to boost the design team's productivity and ensure consistency.
  • Spearheaded a Component Documentation project to improve design handoff with developers.
What I did...
  • Solved for user pain points, including time-consuming data entry, lack of visibility, and late payments which are caused from inefficient manual invoicing processes
  • Conducted thorough research on accounting workflows and competitors to better understand our target users and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborated with numerous cross-functional teams.
    • Each of my project consisted of 1 Product Manager, 1 Onsite Developer, 3-4 Offshore Developers, and 2 Quality Assurance Analysts.
  • Led end-to-end UX processes which include: user research, ideation, designing, usability testing, iteration, handoff, and monitoring user feedback with the help of Figma, Zeplin, Notion, Jira, Hotjar, and Zoom. (Sorry, I can’t share the designs!)
  • Improved existing features and resolved bugs while considering technical limitations.
What I learned...
  • So much about accounting!
  • Time management and prioritizing tasks.
    • Learning to balance my numerous projects was key to ensuring I was never a blocker for someone else!
  • Creating solutions that are user-centric while aligning with business objectives and technical constraints.
  • Better communication = increased productivity
  • Everyone interprets information differently, so it's important to hold regular check-ins and presentations to ensure everyone is on the same page.
What I improved on...
  • Designing future-forward designs by developing adaptable and scalable solutions.
  • My Figma Skills by mastering auto layouts and prototypes to enhance my workflow.
  • My presentation skills! Through lots of practice, I developed effective techniques for showcasing my solutions to stakeholders.
  • My confidence in my abilities :)
That concludes my recap! I had an incredible time at EBizCharge and am truly grateful for the trust and creative freedom from my manager and team, which helped me grow into the designer I am today.
